Welcome to Art with Hartless. It is indeed a pleasure to be working with you this year. Art is not merely a class to earn an easy A. Art demands dedication and discipline. Whatever it is you love in life, you have to practice, repeatedly, in order to perfect that craft. The Arts can provide you with the skills necessary in order to compete in today's marketplace. You are a consumer, we all are, what gets you to buy something? What appeals to you, is it the commercial, the quality of the item, the color or the way it looks and feels. Did you consider affordability and the functionality of the commodity. Just think about that for a moment.............................At times, we are drawn to buy, listen, or even believe things simply by the way they are projected and marketed.
You are a commodity. Now that you know that. How do you want to be projected when applying to attend college or interviewing for a job opportunity. Will you be able to compete in society. The Arts offer a place for you to visualize, conceptualize, express, analyze, and criticize the world around you so you can become college, career, citizen ready. We live in a diverse world where people act, look, feel, worship, and think differently. You are one person, but who are you? What defines you? Can you or will you be defined? How do you want to live your life? Where will it take you? Will it be what you want it to be? I say, you can make it happen. And at the end of it all, would you be proud of what you have done? I say, only if you make it happen. Let's start that journey today in class. This is Art with Hartless. Welcome.
Please support the Art program by turning in the $5.00 Art fee to the instructor (cash, check to Dozier Middle School, or 50 boxtops) if your child has signed up for Art this year. Thank you so much.
